  • In the past decade attempts have been made to understand inter-individual variability in response to antidepressant treatment. Improved understanding of drug metabolism and the factors contributing to it (genetics and environment) as well as potential predictors of response have been examined in an attempt to improve treatment outcomes. This symposium examines genetic factors associated with the use of antidepressant medications, as well as potential drug-drug interactions and side effects.
